Click on the mares name for pictures, pedigree or just scan down the page. All these mares are dun and 100% percent foundation except for our palomino mare who is 99% and our 100% foundation bred mare, Random Facts, who is black.

The majority of our young mares are Mr Blackburn 955 daughters. In the spring of 2007 we leased a small group of mares to the Lucky T Ranch in Ririe, Idaho to be crossed on their 100% foundation bred stallions. We personally do not have any foals coming in 2008 as we feel it is a saturated horse market at the present time.

We plan on crossing our mares on a grullo grandson of King Fritz for 2009 foals. This stallion is over 98% foundation bred with 7 crosses to Oklahoma Star and is known to produce good minded working horses. While this horse will be at Spade Quarter Horses for the 2009 season he will not be standing to outside mares.

Random Facts

1996 black mare, 100% foundation bred, 14.3hh and 1100 lbs

This mare has proven to be one of our top producing mares over the last 8 years. All of her stud colts to date have been left stallions and have gone on to sire some nice horses. All her fillies are here in our breeding program and are daughters of Mr Blackburn 955 with foundation percentages of 100%.

In 2007 she gave us a super nice black stud colt by Jaz Cool Cat, a son of Little Steel Dust, this colt sold to a trainer in Nevada fall 2007. She was left open for 2008 and will be crossed on a grullo grandson of King Fritz for 2009.

Petty Pine

2000 dun mare, 100% foundation 15hh and 1300 lbs

This is a big mare with good bone and solid feet. She is a daughter of our reference sire, Mr Blackburn 955 and an old Poco Pine mare we crossed on "Champ" for a few years. This is the filly I decided to keep in the breeding program. "Champ" got out and bred this mare, so her first foal was a father to daughter cross and we decided to keep that filly also and expect some good prepotent crosses from her in the future.

Pines had a brown filly in 2007 by a black Little Steel Dust son, Jaz Cool Cat. This filly sold to a trainer in Nevada this fall. Pines is open for 2008 and we plan on crossing her on a grullo grandson of King Fritz for a 2009 foal.

Jessies Poco 731

2004 100% foundation bred dun mare with no white, 14.3hh 1100 lbs as a 3 yr old

This is a very balanced mare with practically perfect conformation and a gorgeous head. Certainly a keeper! This is another of our Mr Blackburn 955 daughters.

Jessie was one of the young mares we sent to the Lucky T Ranch in Ririe, Idaho on a foal trade. She should be back in the fall of 2008 in foal to one of their 100% foundation stallions.

Jessies Poco 733

2006 100% foundation bred dun mare, full sister to our Jessies Poco 731

This filly has a longer leg then her sister and we are waiting to see how she fills out but certainly has her mother and sisters baby doll head and good conformation. This is another of our Mr Blackburn 955 daughters.

This filly had a wire cut on a hind leg as a weanling but seems sound. We expect some nice foals from this mare as well. We will be getting some photos of this filly next spring.

Miss Blackburn 915

2004 100% foundation bred dun mare with no white, this is the only daughter Poppin Poco gave us bred to Mr Blackburn 955. Poppin Poco has been retired and we kept this filly as her replacement.

"Polly" was one of the young mares we sent to the Lucky T Ranch in Ririe, Idaho on a foal trade. She should be back in the fall of 2008 in foal to one of their 100% foundation stallions. We should have photos of this filly in the spring.

Blackburn 653

2005 98% foundation bred Palomino mare no white

This mare is the replacement for her dam, Rings Pretty Peppy who was deceased in 2006. She was the only filly the old mare produced crossed on Mr Blackburn 955.

We sent this palomino to the trainer this fall and she broke out quiet, sweet and willing. She has nice balanced conformation with a long neck and pretty head.

We will be crossing this mare on a grullo grandson of King Fritz for a 2009 foal.
